As a restaurant reviewer, value for money is one of the most important criteria based upon which I give out my rating. Some places are expensive, some are pocket-friendly. However, you can place the West Side Story Rajouri Garden, somewhere in the middle between the two mentioned segments. What different about this restaurant in Delhi, is that a meal here might end up giving you more value for the money paid. Why do I say that?

West Side Story Rajouri Garden- More value for your money

The serving staff at West Side Story Restaurant in Delhi totally floored me with their service. Looking at the price point, this is an amazing feat. Nevertheless, let’s talk about the interiors, presentation and food.

The decor is as classy as it gets, amazing overhead lamps, bright and cheerful lighting, a beautiful bar and what not. The restaurant indeed makes you feel like you’re dining in the west.

The presentation of food could’ve been better, but then, it was still really nice and nothing to complain about.

Food at the West Side Story

Now, let’s talk about the most important factor and the deal breaker, which is FOOD.

Appetizers

With some really innovative starters, like;

  • Cranberry Gol Gappa Shots

And then some delicious ones from all around the world;

  • Mezze Platters

Also, some fusion dishes like;

  • Thai Curry Chicken Tikka

Apart from these, I also tried the Peri-Peri Chicken Pizza. In the appetizers, my favorite was the delicious Thai Curry Chicken Tikka. These succulent and roasted chicken pieces were marinated in Thai curry paste, coconut milk and other aromatic spices. The Peri-Peri Thin crust pizza was also delicious. People also had some good things to say about the meat balls.

For Main Course, I tried the aromatic Rendang Lamb Curry. With all its mild flavors and tender lamb pieces, this dish won my heart. Served with steamed rice, this dish costs around ₹ 575/- and would easily serve 2.

The Desserts served at the West Side Story Restaurant in Delhi

I tried two of their dessert offerings viz.

  • Caramel Custard Pudding (too eggy for my palate)
  • Elaichi Gulab Jamun, Orange Chasni, served with Vanilla Ice-Cream (loved it)
  • Blueberry Cheesecake (My favorite dessert from Qubitos, served here as well)

All in all, West Side Story is a perfect diner/restaurant in Delhi for those requiring amazing food coupled with amazing service. Also, for those wishing to have a taste of the West and create their own ‘West Side Story’.
